Case Study 1: Replacement of Fluorescent Lamps with LED-Based Strip Lights

This sample case study covers the implementation of a replacement program to replace the existing F40-type fluorescent lighting fixtures with LED-based strip lighting at a major Convention Centre.

The Convention Centre uses a total of 1526 linear feet of acrylic wrap fluorescent lighting fixtures in the corridor space. The programmed annual schedule for the lights is to be turned ON for 12 hours during the day, between the hours of 7AM and 7PM, for 365 days in a year.

Results:
At an assumed Blended Electricity Rate of $0.12/kWh, the Estimated Total Annual Savings equals $5,702.00/year.
